A partnership of churches
School of Theology exists because local churches chose to do something together that none of them could do alone. Nine churches across Manchester and the High Peak share teachers, students, and resources to make top quality theological training accessible to everyone.
Stronger together
No single church has the resources to run a full theological training programme on its own, but together, nine churches can. Each partner church contributes teaching, hosts sessions, and encourages its members to take part.
Students benefit from a breadth of teachers and perspectives they wouldn’t get from one church alone, while still learning in a setting shaped by the local church rather than a distant institution.
Is your church interested in partnering?
We’d love to talk. Partnering with School of Theology means your members get access to high-quality theological training shaped by the local church, and your church gets a say in what’s taught and how. Here’s what that looks like in practice.
- A termly programme of sessions covering Biblical Theology, Christology, and key cultural issues
- Experienced teachers drawn from across the partnership
- Audio recordings and discussion materials for every session
- An optional accredited pathway via Nazarene Theological College
- Promotional materials and branding for your congregation
- Promoting the School within your congregation and sending a group of participants
- A financial contribution to support the running of the programme
- Optionally hosting a post-session discussion group for your participants
- Optionally providing a representative on the Steering Group
- Optionally contributing teaching if gifting allows
